Château Plaisance
Château Plaisance is an 18th century old country manor which formerly belonged to the famous Bordeaux restaurateur Dubern. Since 2005, the estate has been runed by Philippe Magrez, son of Bernard Margrez and he is also a 4th generation winegrower. Here, the best modern winemaking techniques are being combined with the finest Bordeaux traditions.

The Vineyard
The 23 hectares vineyard of Château Plaisance is settled on a steep hill with a south sun exposure, benefiting from exceptional sunshine and high temperatures that allows a complete ripening of the grapes.
The vineyard soil is composed of various soil types –Merlot on clayous soil, Cabernet Sauvignon on sandy gravelous soil and it is planted with 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Sauvignon of which vines are 20 years old on average.
